Save a Report as a Template

What's New
You can now turn any eligible report into a reusable template yourself with
Save as Template
. No need to contact Support.
Why It Matters
Reuse the work you've already put into a report as a starting point for future inspections, without waiting on Support.
Details
  • Find
    Save as Template
    in the
    ...
    menu next to a report on the
    Inspection Details
    page
  • Your new template shows up in
    My Templates
    within a few moments, with sections, items, and comments carried over
  • Templates are named after the inspection address and time, for example
    Template from 123 Main St (2026-10-02 14:12)
  • Works with
    standard reports
    and
    TREC
    forms. A TREC report stays a TREC template
  • Not available for other special forms, reinspections, or reports hidden from viewing
  • If a save doesn't go through, you'll see a banner on the Inspection Details page with next steps
