Web Editor Search — filters, sort, and easy report finalization
What's New
The Web Editor now has a single, unified search bar that replaces the old dual search bars — with filters, sorting, and keyboard navigation built in.
Why It Matters
Finding and editing comments in large reports is faster and more precise. You can filter by comment type or severity, sort results your way, and jump directly into editing without losing your place.
Details
- One search barreplaces the previous full report + current item dual search bars
- Filter by comment type— Informational, Limitations, Defects
- Filter by attributes— Flagged, Incomplete, Has Media, Checked (Checked = actively counting toward report completion)
- Filter by severity— Safety Hazard, Major Defect, Minor Defect — useful for polishing and finalizing reports
- Sort resultsby Relevance, Template Order, or Alphabetical — sort preference saves across inspections
- Search scope toggle— search the whole report or a specific section
- Search Titles + Body or Titles only
- Results showeach comment's location, type, and whether it has media attached
- Click a resultto open the comment drawer — edit content, use AI Comment Assist, add/manage media, flag, copy, delete, view in editor, or jump to the published report preview
